DJ Ron Don a Hit in Europe
DJ Ron Don has been making great strides in 2008. And his recent performances in Europe can now go down on his growing list of accomplishments. Based on the warm reception that DJ Ron Don received from the European massive, it's clear that his international fan base has grown tremendously.
The popular mixtape king touched down in Europe for two sold out shows. The first stop was in Norway, where he performed at the RA in Nattklubben, alongside DJ Lion and DJ Nuhhh. At the event, officially billed as "Dutty Wine," DJ Ron Don unleashed a fiery string of dancehall selections on the patrons. The crowd relentlessly rocked to DJ Ron Don's sounds.
After the Norway stint, DJ Ron Don headed to Dublin, Ireland -- where he played on another high profile dancehall date. The Irish fans also enjoyed DJ Ron Don's incessant mixes of the latest Reggae music. Due to thoroughly putting it down at these shows, DJ Ron Don has received a wealth of booking requests. Because of this, the mixtape king's is planning a multi-city European tour in the near future.
DJ Ron Don continuously injects the general public with a diverse array of Reggae music. Although DJ Ron Don easily releases over 60 CDs a year, his loyal supporters are always craving more. DJ Ron Don Emerges as a Popular Nominee at Award Shows This Year
DJ Ron Don's popularity has reached the ultimate high this year, as he has been nominated for his skilled Reggae mixtapes at a bevy of well-respected award shows.
DJ Ron Don anxiously attended the 5th Annual Southern Entertainment Awards at the Luxe Grand Casino Resort in Mississippi in late January, where he was nominated in the "Best Reggae Mixtape" category.
Although DJ Ron Don did not take home the award, he was thrilled to be nominated at such a show, which typically pays homage and recognizes key DJs, promoters, producers and others in the southern market of the U.S. Clearly, being nominated at this award show displayed that DJ Ron Don's reach transcends geographic boundaries. Although based in New York, DJ Ron Don's fan base respectfully extends through out the world.
In addition to this nomination, DJ Ron Don is once again proud to be on the ballot at the world famous Justo's Mixtape Awards. He is nominated alongside four contenders, in the "Best Reggae Mixtape DJ" category. DJ Ron Don has not just been busy appearing on the ballots.
